Weddings are so much fun, right? Families, friends, music, great food and the potential for so many things to go wrong.
1) Embrace It all
Your wedding day takes so much planning and with that planning you begin to place a lot of expectations for the day in your mind. Our number one suggestion for you to enjoy your day is to go into it with the understanding that you are unique, your fiance is unique and your wedding should be unique. Be ready to embrace anything that should happen on your wedding day. What may seem like a crisis on the wedding day, will in five, ten, twenty years, just be an incredible story.
2) Stop the clock
Time never moves so fast as it does on a wedding day. As a wedding photographer we always have our clients fill out a wedding day questionairre and we put together a timeline for them. This helps take some of the guesswork out of the day and it is actually comforting for everyone to know where they are supposed to be and when :)
Make sure that you allow yourself plenty of time for your events during the day. If you think that you can have hair and makeup completed in 1 hour, allow yourself 2 hours. Then, even if your finished early you will just have extra time to relax with your family and friends. Wouldn't it be better to have time for an extra mimosa, instead of being rushed.
3) Stop! Call the professionals
